Most Aqua One updates take approximately 20 to 25 minutes from start to finish. The exact time can vary depending on a few factors, including the speed of your Wi-Fi connection, the size of the update, and how much storage is available on the device.

What affects update speed?

  • Wi-Fi strength: A fast, stable connection means faster download times. A weak or spotty signal can slow things down significantly or cause the update to fail.

  • Update size: Minor bug fixes are smaller and install quickly. Feature-heavy updates may take a bit longer to download.

  • Available storage: We recommend having at least 10–15 GB of free storage before starting an update. If storage is too low, the installation may not complete.

What should my child do during the update?

The Aqua One will guide your child through the process. They'll simply need to tap "Install Now" and let the device do the rest. During installation, the phone may restart — this is completely normal and part of the update process.

Once the update is complete, a confirmation screen will appear and your child will receive a notification letting them know their device is up to date. The whole experience is designed to be as seamless and hassle-free as possible.

What if the update takes longer than expected?

If the update is taking longer than 30 minutes, check that the Wi-Fi connection is still active and the device hasn't lost power. If the update appears stuck or fails, restart the device and try again from Settings > System > System Updates.
