Aqua One releases bug fixes every 2–3 weeks and new features monthly, so your child's device is always improving without you having to do a thing!

Updated May 13, 2026

The Aqua One receives updates on a regular schedule, so your child's device is always improving without you having to do anything. Here's what the typical update cadence looks like.

Bug fixes and security patches

Minor bug fixes and security updates roll out approximately every two to three weeks. These updates address small issues, improve stability, and patch any security vulnerabilities that may have been identified. They're usually quick to install and happen mostly in the background.

New features and improvements

Larger updates that introduce new features, improvements to monitoring tools, or significant performance upgrades typically arrive once a month. These updates may take a bit longer to install and may include a device restart.

How will I know an update is available?

Your child will receive a notification on their Aqua One when an update is ready to install. You can also manually check by going to Settings > System > System Updates on the device and tapping the refresh button in the top right corner.

Does my child need to do anything?

In most cases, your child just needs to tap "Install Now" when prompted. If they miss the notification or don't install it within a day, the Aqua One will automatically apply the update overnight as long as the device is plugged in and connected to Wi-Fi. The process is designed to be as hands-off as possible for both parents and children.
