Yes, the Aqua One can function without a SIM card, but it will require a Wi-Fi connection to operate effectively. If you decide against getting a SIM card, just make sure your child has access to Wi-Fi.

Use third-party calling and texting apps (WhatsApp, Google Meet, etc.)
Browse the internet over Wi-Fi
Use the camera, music, and all offline features
Important: Without a SIM card, your child won't be able to make traditional phone calls or send standard SMS texts.
Will monitoring work without a SIM card?
Yes — monitoring works whenever the Aqua One is connected to Wi-Fi. Activity syncs to your Parent Dashboard in real time over Wi-Fi, so as long as your child is connected, you have full visibility. If they go somewhere without Wi-Fi and there's no SIM, monitoring will pause until they reconnect.
Can I add a SIM card later?
Absolutely — you can add a SIM card or activate an eSIM at any time after setting up the device. Simply contact your carrier and they'll help you get cellular service activated on the Aqua One.
